Who should use this calculator and when?

This is for chemical importers and manufacturers (introducers) who need to calculate the human health categorisation volume to work out which human health exposure band (1-4) applies to their introduction.

Use this calculator only if you know the annual introduction volume of your chemical for each end use.

Will the chemical that you're importing or manufacturing (introducing) have a single end use or multiple end uses?

Single end use

For example, the chemical will only be used as an ingredient in consumer products sold in Australia.

Multiple end uses

For example, the chemical will manufactured in Australia and exported as well as sold in local consumer products.
