An assessed introduction meets the criteria for 'medium to high risk' for health and/or the environment in the Guide to categorising your chemical importation and manufacture.
We must assess your introduction and issue an assessment certificate before you can import or manufacture the chemical.

There are 5 types of assessment certificates you can apply for based on your categorisation outcome. These are:
- Health and environment focus
- Health focus
- Environment focus
- Very low to low risk
- Comparable hazard assessment
