Amended rules after consultation on 10 kg or less introductions

The Industrial Chemicals (General) Amendment (Introductions of 10 kg or Less) Rules 2022 commences today. The amended rules, made by the Assistant Minister for Health and Aged Care, follows on from our public consultation on proposed rules changes for introductions of 10 kg or less that closed on October 2022.  

During the consultation period we received a range of stakeholder responses and we would like to thank everyone who gave us valuable feedback. You can read our response to the feedback. 

The amended rules provide additional options relating to record keeping and categorisation for introductions of 10 kg or less per year.
