Defined Scope of Assessment

The chemical has been assessed as:

  • imported into Australia at up to 1 tonne/year
  • imported in fragrance formulations at up to 1% concentration for local reformulation into finished cosmetic and household products 
  • imported or reformulated as a component of finished cosmetic and household products for consumer and professional use at up to:
    • 0.1% in cosmetic products such as leave-on and rinse-off hair care products, leave-on skin care products, deodorants and soaps
    • 0.1% in household products such as washing, cleaning and detergent products
    • 0.1% in polishes and wax blends
    • 0.5% in instant action air fresheners and fine fragrances
    • 1% in continuous action air fresheners
