Update on Sept-Nov 2023 consultation: changes to categorisation, reporting and record keeping

Thanks to everyone that made a submission last year about proposed amendments to the Industrial Chemicals (General) Rules 2019 and Industrial Chemicals Categorisation Guidelines. We reviewed all responses.

What's happening?

• We’re now seeking feedback on other changes to the Categorisation Guidelines that we foreshadowed in September 2023 - the consultation is open until 22 February 2024.
• Processes to consider and make amendments are on track, with an aim to commence any amendments in April 2024. We’ll announce any changes around a month before they take effect. We’ll also publish our response to the feedback that we received.
