Assessment statement

means a report that AICIS publishes after completing an assessment on the introduction of an industrial chemical into Australia. The assessment occurs after an application for an assessment certificate or an application to vary the terms of a certificate or of an Inventory listing. The information in the statement includes chemical identity details, the scope of the assessment, hazard information and a summary of the risk to human health and the environment from the introduction and use of that chemical.
