Not soluble

For the purposes of table item 3(b) of section 28 and table item 3(b) of section 29 of the Industrial Chemicals (General) Rules 2019, not soluble means at least one of the following applies:

  • the solubility of the chemical in water is less than 33.3 g/L, measured following an acceptable test guideline for water solubility, or
  • the dissolution rate of the chemical is less than or equal to 70%
