List of relevant tariff classifications

Tariff classifications describe types of imported goods.

You’ll need to register your business with us if your imported goods contain industrial chemicals and any tariff classifications in the table below apply to the goods you’re importing.

We’ve put together a table listing some common classifications relevant to AICIS. Importers shouldn’t limit themselves to these import classifications, as some industrial chemicals are imported under chapters not listed in this table. For a complete list, go to the Australian Border Force.

Once you’ve confirmed what classifications apply to your goods, check what registration level and fee apply to your circumstances.
