What's an assessment certificate holder?
A person or business issued with an assessment certificate after we assess an industrial chemical. Certificate holders are authorised to introduce the industrial chemical on their certificate into Australia as an assessed introduction.
If you are an assessment certificate holder, you must comply with the terms of the assessment certificate.
A certificate holder can also be added to an existing certificate on application.
Certificate holders can apply:
- to vary the terms of the assessment certificate
- for an early listing of the chemical on your certificate on the inventory
- to cancel the assessment certificate
- for the early inclusion of your certificate’s terms to a listed chemical (linked to your certificate) while your certificate is in force
- to add a person to be covered by the certificate
What is a person covered by an assessment certificate?
A certificate holder can apply to add a person or a business to be covered by an assessment certificate. Once added, the person or business is authorised to introduce the industrial chemical into Australia as an assessed introduction.
If you are a person covered by an assessment certificate, you must comply with the terms of the assessment certificate. However, you cannot apply for any changes to the certificate.
Persons covered by an assessment certificate cannot apply:
- to vary the terms of the assessment certificate
- for an early listing of the chemical on the Inventory
- to cancel the assessment certificate
- to vary the terms of an inventory listing of a chemical linked to a certificate that you are assigned the role of a person covered by an assessment certificate
- to add another person to be covered by the certificate
